A four-day
tribute to art

From November 21 to 24, atelier arpero opens its artsy world in Amsterdam for the very first time. This four-day event at So Studio is your chance to see the work of the artist Pero Nikcevic in the Netherlands.

Discover over 50 breathtaking pieces that reflect his impressive 55-year career. His greatest source of inspiration? Women—"les femmes," who stand at the heart of his art in all their strength—and we’re here for it.

Join them to celebrate French and Balkan culture with live music, art performances, workshops and some surprises. Don’t miss out on this unforgettable event!

atelier arpero was founded by Pauline, inspired by her father’s journey as an artist.

With a remarkable career spanning over 55 years, Pero's work is deeply influenced by women, his greatest muse, blending fantasy and reality in a way that invites personal interpretation.

This exhibition is especially meaningful as Pauline, who grew up in her father’s Paris studio, now joins him to share their shared passion for art with the world.

According to Pero, this is the essence:
"Art is freedom. Everyone can interpret it in their own way, and that’s the beauty of it. I create with freedom, and I want to give that freedom to the audience."

For Pero and Pauline, art is not a luxury but something that enriches your home, heart, and life. "You don’t need to be an expert," says Pauline, founder of atelier arpero and daughter of artist Pero. "Art is about emotion—about how it makes you feel."

"My friends often said, 'I would love to have art in my home, but I don't know where to start,'" Pauline shares. "I want to show that it's not about knowledge. It's about what art does to you, what you feel when you look at it."

This idea lies at the core of atelier arpero. Pero and Pauline aim to show that art is for everyone, regardless of knowledge or experience. The goal? No more empty walls—just art that fills your home and your life.

ODE A LA FEMME

At the heart of atelier arpero lies a celebration of the feminine spirit, her soul and body in coexistence and the resilience, grace, and power it creates. Through Ode à la Femme, Pero and Pauline come together to honor the essence of women beyond boundaries.

To Pero, “the feminine has both a physical and spiritual fertility, one without which the world would not exist. Women give birth to life and carry it to fruition through a delicate process.” His work honors this force which has been his cornerstone of inspiration since the very beginning.

To Pauline, Ode à la Femme is an invitation to reflect, to question, and to celebrate the female body and the female soul, not as separate entities but as a unity. Women’s bodies are more than symbols, they are more than standalone objects; they are vessels of life and purpose.

Life is a shared journey, one where we all are to be present, as sisters, brothers, mothers, fathers, friends, colleagues. Whatever label we choose. We may seem divided, by borders, by boundaries, by norms, by experiences but we need each other and true progress happens when we stand together. We all carry the feminine spirit within us. Ode à la Femme is a reminder of that and a call to elevate our female voices beyond societal divisions. To shine a light on women’s visibility, in every field, every space, every piece.

“My father’s art and this event are a celebration, a statement, and a call to reflection. As he has dedicated his career to honoring women’s strength through his art pieces, we dedicate this moment and this collection to them. Dignity and respect goes beyond gender, it is in unity and equality we find true beauty. Let’s embrace our feminine spirit in all its shapes and forms, let boundaries dissolve, let Pero’s art accompany you and make art part of your life.”

We invite you to plunge into the world of atelier arpero, to explore and enjoy the different worlds where women stand at the center, are part of the story or immerse into nature. Thank you for joining us, and we hope you find a piece that moves you.
